On January 18, 2023, the Radio Administration Bureau(SRRC) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued “Regulations on the Management of Radio Transmission Equipment” which will be implemented from July 1, 2023. The main points are as follows:
1. The validity period of the type approval certificate will not shorter than 2 years, and does not exceed 5 years, unless otherwise requested by the SRRC;
2. The holder of type approval certificate should apply to the SRRC for renewal 30 days before the expiration of certificate. The validity of renewed certificate shall not exceed 5 years;
3. The type approval number (CMIIT ID) shall be marked on the radio transmission equipment or in electronic form. If the size of the equipment is too small to display the CMIIT ID, it shall be marked in the independent outer packaging or instructions of the equipment;
4. The production or importation of the micro-power short-range radio transmission equipment sold or used in China should meet the relevant provisions and technical requirements of the SRRC. And a dedicated label should be put on the micro-power short-range radio transmission equipment or its use manual. The labeling method and the logo format will be formulated by SRRC separately.
